Angela Tjaden is a graduate of the University of Northern Iowa with a degree in History/Anthropology and Mount Mercy College with a degree in Secondary Education. Her most recent research project, The Communal System of the Amana Colonies: Impact of Hired Labor, 1884-1932, explores the relationship of hired labor in one of America’s most successful communal societies. Look for the completed paper to be published this spring in the Communal Societies Journal.
